Samsung Galaxy S5
Firefly worked with Undercurrent, who specialise in delivering innovative Live Communication Events and Brand Marketing Experiences, for the launch of Samsung’s new Galaxy S5.
When the latest and greatest flagship smart phones hit retail channels, it is always imperative that a manufacturer makes a big noise. Undercurrent were asked by Samsung to produce creative and implement activity through an engaging and captive experience.
We helped experiential agency Undercurrent, to launch Samsung’s new smash hit smart phone through the Vodafone channel with a big surge of energy by providing our PedGen Bicycles. The power produced by Vodafone employees cycling was streamed live on to a TV monitor.
We also supplied our YouPower Playground as part of Samsung’s experiential UK bus tour, created by Undercurrent. Running for eight weeks the tour visited high-footfall shopping centres to target the family market, as well as university towns such as Leeds, Sheffield and Liverpool for their student population.
The campaign centred around an 11-metre, branded double-decker bus complete with a bespoke installation, with the entire activation covering 144 square metres. It featured our playground including the TeedleGen see-saw, WhirlyGen roundabout, LumberGen rollers and PedGen bicycles, which created kinetic energy to charge visitors’ mobile phones.
