Firefly Powers Up Love Support Unite Foundation Project in Malawi
Firefly Clean Energy have been involved in helping the charity Love Support Unite Foundation.
During July Firefly helped organise a shipment container of medical supplies, school uniform and clothing for Mkunkhu School and Tilinanu Orphanage in Malawi, which left the UK on the 17th of July.
Firefly also donated computers, electrical equipment, solar panels, plus a Cygnus 2 Hybrid Power Generator with Solar Prep to run power for the school and rural community.
The Love Support Unite Volunteer Africa Foundation (LSU) is as grass roots as it gets. Created by two sisters, Alice and Nina Pulford, they establish small-scale projects which can be sustained and replicated throughout Malawi to trigger change on a large-scale. Volunteers contribute directly to genuine, long lasting development projects, working alongside Malawian communities to create real opportunities and active change.
Through volunteering, they have provided much-needed healthcare, education and skills workshops to hundreds of Malawian people and help our volunteers gain an understanding of some of the biggest issues facing the developing world today.
